Thank you to the Chamois Family for the delicious cupcakes for the class on Valentine's day.

Report cards: I hope your child's report card found you well. Please send back the form requesting a telephone or in person interview if needed.

Love assembly: We have been working with Mrs. Campbell's Grade 2 class to present the theme of LOVE to the school. We have an amazing video and skits- it has been so amazing seeing the grade 5 students being leaders in the school and spreading the love!

Math: We now know SO much about decimals. We learned how to add decimals last week and will be working on subtracting decimals this week.

Language:Students are still working away on their independent novel studies. Everyone is working at their own pace. Some are reading, others answering questions, but everyone is engaged. We will also be working on presenting different versions of The Sword in the Stone.

Science: We had a sneak peek into our Human Body unit last week where students calculated how much skin they've shed since they were born. Their homework on Thursday was to find out how much skin had been shed by one of their parents. I was very disappointed in the number of students who did not do their very small homework assignment :(
